Watermark Assistant is a Chrome extension for adding text watermarks to ID, document, certificate and other image files selected by the user.

Summary

Watermark Assistant processes images locally in your browser. The extension does not upload your images, watermark text or settings to a developer server. The extension does not sell, share or transfer user data to third parties.

Data We Do Not Collect

Watermark Assistant does not collect:

• Personal information
• Account information
• Browsing history
• Payment information
• Authentication information
• Website content
• Remote analytics or usage tracking data
• Data for advertising, credit decisions or user profiling

Local Data Processing

When you use the extension, the following data may be processed locally in your browser:

• Images selected by you for watermarking
• Watermark text entered by you
• Watermark settings such as color, size, opacity, angle and spacing
• Language preference and extension settings

This data is used only to provide the watermark editing, preview, saving and in-page insertion features. When you use the in-page insertion workflow, the extension may detect file upload fields on the current page so that it can place the watermarked image into the upload input you choose.

Local Storage

The extension may store selected images and watermark settings in Chrome local storage so that you can continue editing across the popup and supported web page upload workflows.

This local data remains on your device and is controlled by your browser. You can remove it by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.

Network Transmission

Watermark Assistant does not send your selected images, watermark text or extension settings to the developer's servers. Any network upload after insertion is controlled by the website where you choose to submit the watermarked file, not by Watermark Assistant.

Third-Party Services

The extension does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs or remote image processing services.

Permissions

The extension may request the following permissions:

• storage: used to save watermark settings, language preference and local image cache.
• unlimitedStorage: used to support local storage of multiple selected images without uploading them.
• downloads: used to save watermarked images when you choose to download them.
• Site access or active tab access, when present in the submitted build: used only to detect supported image upload fields and insert the watermarked image into the page you are using.

Children's Privacy

Watermark Assistant is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when the extension changes. Any updates should reflect the current data handling behavior of the extension.
